“Gifts for Mityana orphans” Toy Appeal in USA
October 25, 2024

A toy appeal by the Muwanguzi Gordon Orphanages charity for children traumatized by the conflicts in Mityana was featured on UBC Radio Uganda afternoon program last week.

James from Muwanguzi Gordon Orphanages spoke to the program presenter, Janet Nabakoza, about the charity’s toy appeal – called Gift for Mityana Orphans – now underway in the USA.

“We are a children’s charity working in Mityana, as well as many other places across Uganda,” said James.

“In the last couple of weeks, our volunteers in the USA have been collecting toys for Mityana orphans. These will be delivered to the children in Mityana and will bring hope to children traumatized by conflicts and who lost everything.

“The toys will help them be able to play again and be a child again.”

Mr. James added that Muwanguzi Gordon Orphanages are looking for new or good used toys, which do not need to be expensive, like dolls, footballs, toy cars, and toy figures.”

To donate toys, you can contact supportercare@muwanguzigordonorphanages.org or post them to the head office at 93101 Mityana, Uganda.

Muwanguzi Gordon Orphanages charity (Registered Charity number 1171230 in Uganda) provides food, shelter, schooling care, and support to vulnerable children – many who have lost a parent or both parents – in troubled parts of Uganda.
